About Powerful IT

Powerful IT started in 2008 doing what small businesses actually needed: keeping the servers up, the network reachable, the phones answered, and the line-of-business software working. Over the years that meant law firms, CPAs, financial advisors, technology and marketing companies, online retailers, and a lawn care business — a dozen-odd companies across Central Florida, each with their own idea of what "the system" meant.

Then came a stretch in the defense world: consulting on government programs, navigating requirements, writing proposals, and delivering cyber and IT solutions, with Risk Management Framework as the specialty. That work is exacting in a way commercial IT usually is not. It teaches you to document decisions, trace requirements, and prove what you claim.

Both of those threads produced the same conclusion, from opposite directions: small businesses are badly served by the software they can afford, and the gap is getting wider as larger organizations automate.

What We Are Building

The Business Operating System is a platform that runs everything around a company's email and files — website, contacts, news, newsletter, voice, commerce, operations consoles, and the private apps built on top. Not a replacement for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. A replacement for the eight disconnected things surrounding them.

It is also the foundation for something we care about more: giving ordinary businesses a real path into AI. Not a subscription nobody opens — actual tools, built against their own data, solving the specific repetitive thing that eats their week.
